Snipers After School runs 90 minute sessions on Monday and Thursday throughout the Fall and Winter Months with breaks for some holidays (eg. Christmas and New Years). The aim of the program is to help Burlington area kids level up their hockey skills. Our professional coaches focus on edgework, puck carrying, and shooting. For those that can make the early after school start time, this could be the difference in making it to that next level.

Edgework

Coaches Cain (Mondays) and Ann (Thursdays) focus on fundamentals regardless of skill level. Mastery outside edge can often help coaches identify the better skaters come tryout season.

Puck Carrying

Each session includes programming focused on Puck carrying for speed. Drills are typically explained, demonstrated, performed, then players are pushed to perform faster and under pressure.

Shooting

There's no substitute for working on your shooting while on the rink. In fact, the vast majority of practice time is focused on skating and not shooting. We incorporate shooting into most drills and train specifically on shooting technique.

All Ages

We work with hockey players from 5 years old right up to 13. Of course, we organize them into groups so the younger, learning, players are working on age and skill appropriate drills.
